About This Project

Nina Catrina is probably my favorite Day of the Dead photograph. There were a number of people photographing this little girl at the same moment. I’m not fond of  straight on snapshots, I like to catch my subjects unaware. Fortunately for me, she looked away and I caught this captivating look with the vail over her face. There is something very sensitive and gentle about this photo. Everyone who sees it, loves it.
